Can abstraction be narrative? ? In my painted fiction, I have imagined a time of refuge, which can be transformed into an offensive weapon used by my characters to defeat the evils of acceleration. In our real lives, who doesn't dream of a protective time, with the power to stop and let us enjoy all the beautiful things in life?
It's a theme that lends itself perfectly to abstraction.
So, yes, abstraction can be narrative and serve the purposes of a story.
What's more, inserting a small-format strip in the corner of a large-format abstract canvas seems quite revolutionary to me!
