As an artist, I chose to bring these imaginary characters to life for several reasons.
- creating fictional characters allows me to explore and express my own imagination. By bringing these imaginary figures to life on canvas, I can give free rein to my creativity and ideas. Fictional characters allow me to create a unique world and give shape to abstract concepts or intangible emotions. This allows me to communicate messages and stories that go beyond the constraints of reality.
- Fictional characters allow me to explore the diversity and complexity of human nature. Through these figures, I can represent different personalities, emotions and life experiences. Each fictional character becomes a mirror of the human condition, a way of reflecting on our own existence and questioning our identity. I can create archetypes or symbolic characters that represent universal aspects of human experience, which can provoke deep reflection in viewers.
- Fictional characters in painting offer freedom of interpretation and exploration. Unlike realistic representations of real people, fictional characters allow viewers to project their own stories, emotions and interpretations. Each person can find a personal connection with these imaginary figures and create their own relationship with them. This creates an intimate dialogue between the artist, the fictional character and the viewer, where each can interpret and feel in a unique way.
Finally, creating fictional characters in painting can also add a narrative dimension to my artistic work. Each character can tell a story, evoke a situation or represent a particular moment. These imaginary figures are a powerful means of artistic communication, transcending the boundaries of reality and opening up new perspectives.
