Marc FERRERO's translucent sculptures, in POP and acidulous colors, develop the universe of his fictitious characters, using symbols and playing with transparency and superimpositions.
Characters, settings and texts are distorted and assembled in an original and elegant way by the artist, making each piece unique;
The sculptures are composed of an airy superimposition of acryglass, a material of our time that has the transparency of glass, as well as a smooth, shiny appearance; a light reflector, it offers a subtle play of shadows and colors when positioned in front of a white surface;
The shaping of the sculptures involves a complementarity of techniques, between tradition and modernity, combining new technologies with the manual modelling of the material: The mastery of chiaroscuro, of the original drawings that serve as a basis for the cutting and engraving of the Acryglass pieces, gives them precision and realism.
