The production of the great masters of Impressionism is so exceptional, that it was difficult for me to discover new fields of exploration. My modest contribution to Impressionist art is to use more textures in the treatment of my works, which implies a very thorough knowledge of color mixing, and of course to infuse a narrative spirit into my Impressionist production by telling the fictional or Provencal stories of the characters I portray in my works. What's more, the romanticism that emanates from the impressionist touch is ideal for the treatment of certain subjects.
